Senior Accountant / Financial Manager

For our partner, we are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant / Financial Manager to take ownership of management accounting, financial reporting, period closing, and accounting process automation. Our team of 250+ professionals across 10+ countries builds secure, scalable digital products used by millions of people worldwide. About the Project Our flagship FinTech/Crypto product has been operating successfully since 2017, providing secure digital financial solutions through web and mobile applications. We are now developing the next-generation open-source version of the platform, creating an opportunity to contribute to the evolution of a global technology product. What You’ll Do Management Accounting & Financial Reporting -Develop and implement management accounting policies and standards. -Build a clear responsibility matrix for accounting processes and data ownership. -Prepare a complete set of management reports: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and key financial analytics. -Analyze financial performance by departments and products, including profitability and margins. -Ensure alignment between cash flow and accrual-based accounting together with the Treasury team. -Participate in intercompany reconciliation and elimination processes. Period Closing & Accounting Operations -Own and improve the monthly period-closing process, with a target closing period of up to 10 calendar days. -Implement and maintain an accrual process to ensure accurate monthly financial results. -Organize and control regular reconciliations with key counterparties. -Participate in inventory checks and ensure accurate reflection of assets and liabilities. -Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of financial data. 1C & Automation -Review and optimize the existing 1C KUP / ERP accounting environment. -Analyze data flows between operational and accounting systems. -Prepare technical specifications for developers to automate accounting processes and integrate data. -Minimize manual data entry and improve the reliability of financial data flows. -Configure cost accounting in 1C to support product profitability analysis. -Improve accounting for fixed assets and capital expenditures. -Bring structure to master data, including products, expense categories, and departments. Cross-functional Collaboration -Work closely with the CFO, Treasury, Procurement, Sales, and other business process owners. -Introduce and communicate new accounting processes and regulations. -Train employees from related departments on new financial procedures. What We’re Looking For -5+ years of experience in accounting and/or management accounting. -At least 2 years of experience at Senior / Lead level. -Proven experience in building, restructuring, or improving management accounting processes, preferably within a group of companies. -Strong practical experience with period closing and preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. -Hands-on experience with 1C KUP / ERP, including system configuration and working with developers. -Strong knowledge of IFRS / US GAAP principles related to revenue and expense recognition, fixed assets, and financial instruments. -Understanding of consolidation and intercompany transactions/eliminations. -Experience preparing technical specifications (TORs) for accounting system improvements. -Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Power Query. -Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills. -Ability to build processes from scratch rather than simply maintain existing ones. -High level of ownership, accuracy, and attention to detail. -Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-financial teams. -Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Would Be a Plus -Experience in holding companies or complex corporate structures. -Experience with Power BI or other BI tools. ACCA / CIMA certification.
